@ Dana - I still am working on getting in touch with letting my body tells me what it needs. There is a danger of misinterpreting. For example, do I crave the olives because I want the fat or the salt? So is it really a craving for olives?

@ Michele - Yes, water retention is quite ick. Judging by the time of the month I'm betting that my hormones are responsible.

My craving for nettles has passed and is replaced by oatstraw. Been under some stress with the move coming up!

Oh, I love fish too! Tuna is really good, but salmon is my favorite - especially when it's prepared with fresh herbs.... Yum-O!

Water retention is ick! Glad you're working at getting rid of it. :-)

I'm not one for naps - just can't seem to sleep during the day at all, but I have been making sure to get my nettle tea in every day. Love, love, love my nettles!

Excellent post! When I was pregnant I craved just what my body needed.

Listening to our body's cues for hunger is really important. Most overeaters don't eat because they're hungry. They eat for flavour and to fill a need like boredom or to find joy. Listening to our body's cues is a very important factor in changing our lifestyles.

Cheers,
Dana
