I am a Rebel Dieter…
I call myself a rebel dieter because I need to lose weight. However, I believe that going on a “diet” is the wrong approach. Instead, I like to focus on exercise and eating right. If I try to diet or follow a diet plan, I become obsessed with food and I don’t end up consuming enough calories.
I calculated my calorie needs once and I need about 2200 calories a day to maintain my weight. Diet plans I see have you getting around 1500, which is not good. I should be getting around 1900 if I want to lose weight safely.
So that’s what this blog will be chronicling - my weight loss. I am not really going to weigh myself, either. I am more interested in how I feel and look than the number on the scale. If I do things correctly, I should be losing fat and gaining muscle so my overall weight loss won’t be as much as the number of inches I lose.
