I Started a Food Journal - An Important Step

I read somewhere that people who have a food journal end up automatically losing extra weight. It makes sense to me. Think about it. When I write down what I eat, I don’t want to eat things that are bad for me because I don’t want to see it written down.

I don’t expect that I am going to do it every day. It puts in my mind a level of obsessiveness that I am not willing to experience. But it’s in my purse, and I’ll do it most of the time. Even though I won’t be writing things down every day (maybe more like every other day) I am still going to focus on eating healthy things all of the time.

I need to remember that this is a lifestyle change, not a diet. That is why I am unwilling to take something to a level where I feel as if food and “losing weight” is more of an obsession and not a benefit. But it’s a fine line, I know.
