Work on One Thing at a Time - No Night Eating

I have a problem with diet plans. They’re hard to follow and rather stifling. Each meal I have, I am already thinking of the next one. It can be fun to try new recipes and new foods but… I don’t like to be tied down to eating certain foods. I also don’t like the exercise plans that most of these systems come up with. I’m a lot more active already than most of those plans encourage.

So, I’ve adopted a strategy where I work on one thing at a time. I want you to join in on the fun. The only rule is that you work on the thing that I am talking about until you feel you’ve mastered it, then you can move on.

The first thing I’ve chosen to work on is to elminate night eating. Today, for example, I ate half a bag of freeze dried strawberries after eight o’clock PM. Sure, they’re healthy. Yes, there’s only 110 calories in the whole bag. However, there is a problem with this. I wasn’t even hungry!

When I eat at night, I don’t burn off those calories because I’m going to sleep. So even harmless sounding calories just sit around and don’t burn off. There’s also the problem of not being hungry in the morning because of night eating and we need to eat in the AM to kickstart the metabolism.

So, that will be my focus. I’ll talk about my strategies and how I’m doing as my journey progresses.
